There was over 25,000 in the ground today and the atmosphere was awful.
The ingredients were there, we were playing Leeds, a side many of us despise, the chance to confirm a play off position and the opportunity to salute the team and the manager for the achievements of the season, there was also the tributes to Eddie May, yet we can't create a half decent atmosphere.
It baffles the mind how it can be so poor I the stadium with so much riding on it.

To be fair, it sounded quite good on Player mate. Even the commentators said so a few times.
It's a weird ground as the atmosphere doesn't seem to carry when you are inside the stadium.
Granted, it could and should be so much better.

I didn't think it was that bad tbh
Sat Apr 21, 2012 2:35 pm
There where quite time but that's down to nervous crowd but at one time the whole place was rocking I've been to many worse home game than that for atmosphere

canton was good.

i thought it was ok today ?

I sit in the Family Stand and today the noise levels were very low coming from the other stands, yes there was one occasion where the whole stadium got going but in the main I think it should be a lot better with the enormity of the game.

I thought it was a lot better than usual, it wasn't that bad. I don't know what we're going to do though to improve.
Sat Apr 21, 2012 3:31 pm
Didn't think it was that bad, we were a bit nervy but that's understandable the club is pesistant nearly men.

Best in ages IMO. Last time we had a tidy atmo in the league was Southampton. Today was great
Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:04 pm
In all fairness the team gave us little to cheer about today.

It was one of the best atmospheres this season but still rubbish compared to Ninan Park. Leeds outsung us all game, except for about 5 minutes after we scored. The stewards don't help things either by constantly asking everyone to sit down in the Ninian Stand especially considering all the Leeds fans were standing!
Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:12 pm
From the back of the canton stand I can confirm we were the only ones singing!!

Seriously, we couldn't hear much from the Ninian or the Leeds fans til they scored? Must be a noise issue in the stadium as I though it was ok in our stand plenty of noise and banter.... ?
Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:14 pm
The acoustics in the stadium are rubbish. I've been in the Canton once or twice and couldn't hear anything from the Ninian or the away fans but then in the Ninian you can hardly hear the Canton. Think it's the stadium more than the fans

Disagree…..thought there was a very good atmosphere today

I thought that the atmosphere was fine, and that Leeds only really sang when they scored.

bet Carl didn't even go……….??
Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:18 pm
Do we really have to find something to complain about? Can't we just enjoy the position we are in at this point of the season?

I know, but I do agree we have the right to moan especially after all we have been through over the years. This is a new era and as it stands we are 45 mins from bein in the playoffs again. Starring at Wembley again. Whatever happens now, IMO it has been an amazing season, one that will go down in the record books. Cheer up the wingers!!!

We have moaning but then we have moaning for moanings sake.
We could win 7-0 and someone would find something to moan about

Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:30 pm
Oh now even I'd moan about a cold coffee at those prices
Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:31 pm
Oh here we go, I've opened a can of worms lol.

The atmosphere is usually awful and today was no better or worse really. The one thing I would say is hats off to the Leeds fans who virtually to a man/woman stood and applauded for Eddie May's tribute.

Glad it was not just me who thought it then
When you consider what was at stake I expected a livelier atmosphere.

Just a straight question, what would Ninian Park have been like, a full house v Leeds,a win guaranteed play offs and last home game of the season with everything to play for ?
