Shy shooters

Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:58 pm

Im happy with the recent form of results but its start to get annoying when we are trying to be Arsenal and pass it in the net.
Espically when you have players lie Lawerance, Gunnarsson and Whitts in the team

First half Gunnarsson attacked their goal and Miller made a run dragging the centre back with hm leaving Gunnarsson place to shoot which was clear for him to shoot and maybe score and he tryed to pass it to Miller!

Apart from that Im a happy bunny! :ayatollah:

Give it to Hudson!!!!!!!

Honestly though it does infuriate me that we do not shoot as often as we could - give it a go ffs

Yeah, I was thinking the same. That chance that Gunnar had was so obviously a shooting opportunity. Hopefully, they'll all get around a telly and go over the match, to point out these things - without dwelling too much on Hudson's goal!

Really annoying. We have some great quality midfielders who got a great shot and they need to find confidence.
Seeing Gunnarssons goal against Barnsley at home was something special and out of nothing and it was a great goal! :ayatollah:

Looks like Lawrence isn't one of these 'shy shooters' he had some cracking hits yesterday, especially during the warmup.
But Gunnar and Whitts should be shooting outside the box more often now that we dont have Conway

I agree 100%. We wasted so many chants against Leeds on Saturday and that wasn't the only game. Sorry to say this but by trying to 'walk' the ball in shows lack of confidence. Personally I see opportunities in shooing from all angles as the ball will bob and bounce all over the shop and result in goals that might not have ordinarily developed if we'd tried walking ball in for it to be kicked away by the opposition. Try it boys, you might like it :ayatollah:

With the greatest of respect young man thats just a total nonsense comment to make in the context of a football match.

Just saying that he CAN do it. I've watched the way he hits the ball in the warmups and he rarely misses the target

Totally different to a match situation
