Terrible news, I had a text around an hour ago with the news, I was asked to keep it off the forum but obviously the news has come out through the media.
I had the privilege of doing Eddie's last interview with him for this forum and he was an absolute gent.
RIP EDDIE.

Never forget i wrote to him after he was sacked. He responded a week or so later with a lovely letter thanking CCFC fans for great support.
Lets win promotion for Eddie.

Such awful news. Too young to go, Eddie.
Early 90s, had a few drinks with Eddie and Marlene in the Philharmonic on St Mary Street after we'd beaten Swansea 1-0 at the Vetch. Jason Perry, Carl Dale, Chris Pike (the goalscorer that night), Paul Millar and various other players were there as well. Great night and showed the togetherness of that team and their closeness to the fans. A great manager and a truly good man.
Rest in peace.
