My last cigarette was at 9.00pm on Friday 12 March 2004 - but by then I had smoked for almost 25 years and for most of that time 20 a day. If every year I smoked my life expectancy reduced by 18 months (which is what your statement adds up to) then I lost 37-38 years on this planet whilst under the nicotine spell!

That probably means I'm dead now! I'm feeling pretty good for a zombie.

horrible habit - thank goodness they've banned it at football matches and most civilised places now
