From RR member-administrator "Pea":Unbelievable moment in the German second tier the other night as a St Pauli striker appeared to header the ball into an open net to put his team 2-1 up in an important promotion match only for him to approach the referee and ask him to rule the goal out as the ball had in fact hit his arm.
Such honesty and when the opposition players try to thank him he simply pushes them away and gets on with the match. What a pro

Football is a TEAM game.
I think he was very selfish.

Personally, I don't think he meant to knock it in with his hand, so if that's the case then yeah, I'd be fuming if he done that.

The thread title should be changed to "unbelievable stupidity from St Pauli striker". Anyone who has played football will have had bad decisions going against them, so if you accidentally handle the ball into the goal and you for once, get a bit of good fortune and the goal is allowed to stand, you must be an idiot to tell the ref you handled it and he's wrong to give the goal. I once had someone doing a blatant dive in the box and the ref fell for it and gave a penalty against me, did the ref change his mind when I told him I didn't even touch him? No, he booked me for dissent instead!
