Commentator on the QPR vs Swansea game said that the QPR fans were booing Barton during their game against Liverpool a few weeks back.
But now he's scored (

) they are singing his name?
I hate 'fans' like that, they shouldn't boo a player in the first place, but changing your stance on him is even worse IMO

Pathetic thread to be fair.
The fans have been on Barton's back because he has been absolutely pish all season. Not driving the team on, losing possession more times than I care to remember, talking absolute bollox on twitter about every reality tv no mark rather than concentrate on his own game & all this on massive wages the fans have a right to be pissed off.
The last 3 games he has been outstanding & has put in a superb shift everytime & that the fans want to see. The commentator obviously wasn't at our last games where the fans were fully behind Joey after acknowledging some back to form performances but mentions it tonight & people like you swallow it, its tv they are there to say such things.
All fans want to see from a player & especially a captain is a proper performance & the last few games Joey Barton has given us that. I don't care if we win, draw or lose 10-0 if the players show maximum effort they will always have my support.
Cheers.

Forced to abandon Twitter until the seasons out by QPR top brass by all accounts & rightly so.
Don't mind free speech but the bollox he was spouting was absolutely pathetic. No coincidence that his best performances of the season coincide with his sabbatical from Twitter.
