This Forum Has Lots Of Posters, Not All Are Right Wing

The amount of regurgitated 'Daily Mail' rhetoric is unbearable, "coming over here, stealing our jobs" and so on.

THIS ISN'T HAPPENING.

Immigration does, shock horror, have positive effects. Such as allowing the low paid blue collar workforce to increase in size and efficiency. These (legal) immigrants, are not "stealing", but filling the jobs that many people would never consider. On the contrary, the high-skilled immigrants benefit the economy hugely and ironically create jobs.

Did you ever imagine that they simply possess a higher work-ethic and more qualifications than you? Being born in the UK does nor render you superior to those who immigrate legally. If a job becomes available, you are free to apply. If you are unsuccessful, it usually means that a more compatible candidate has been found. Nationality is an irrelevence.

The cliche argument against immigrants using the benefit system is a further fallacy. Obviously there are immingrants who have failed to find employment and are consequntly on 'jobseekers'. However, the majority of people on benefits are British nationals, and these are usually the people who complain about immigration. Furthermore, the majority of legal immigrants are in full or part-time employment.

Essentially, the UK has always attracted workers from abroad. Whether they are prospective doctors, or prospective shelf-stackers, jobs are not being "stolen" from British citizens. There is simply greater competiton and consequently a higher standard of worker, which should be encouraged if progression is desired.

We should abandon the immigration fallacy, as it simply stems from recession and ignorance. Please, ignore 'The Daily Heil'.

Not where i work. We look after our own first. Look after the local community.

Shame other companys didnt follow suit.

Skilled immigrants serve a purpose. Immigrants on benefits in a country that is skint and has a social housing problem do not.

Also, those "in work" in labour jobs, undercutting tradesmen do more harm for the economy than good. Tradesmen out of work, have to clamin benefits, no disposable income so the retail and leisure industries suffer.

Well, I fail to see the problem with my original title considering there are others which are evidently anti-immigration and far more controversial than my own. However, as they don't threaten the integrity of this precious messageboard, they are deemed acceptable by the powers to be.

Also, it's comical how you've construed my argument in that way. Surely it is more offensive to suggest that immigrants steal jobs? Surely the views I'm opposing are actually more immature, and far more controversial? I'm opposing intolerence and indoctrination, and have not insulted anyone in the process.

I'm going to assume for a moment (you've done it enough), that when the SWP (heard of them?) and others attacked a BNP bookshop years ago, you would've been in agreement with that and wouldn't have seen the tragic irony in that - nor that the BNP were given an advantage by looking like victims.

It's about the bigger picture and you shouldn't get too wound up about opposing views, or you'll be going to an early grave due to the stress of life, never mind any other reason.
