How much is Joe Mason worth?

I was wondering this, as we bought him for £250k and at the moment he's one of the few 'on-form' strikers in the Championship. With his goals/assissts/performances he's obviously increased his own value, especially with his performance at Wembley.

So how much do you think he's worth?
I think somewhere in the region of £500k-£750k. Possibly a little more considering his age and he's likely to sign a new contract soon

To me for such a young talent he's got to be worth 2 to 3 million in todays market

Seems a little low to me, I always judge a players value on how much it would cost to replace them and the top estimate of 750k wouldnt do that.

i would say it has to be around 3-4 mil mark, especially with him still being young..

good question and it will be interesting to see if we do cash i on him considering the progress hes made this year i say around 2 mil but knowng this club we ll end giving him away,i still get annoyed that we sold ramsey for 4.8 mil when you consider southampton got around 10 mil each for walcott and camberlain

matthews also went for free because he was out of contract and we didnt even get any compensation considering he went to celtic

Any commodity is only worth as much as anyone is willing to pay.
In the right market with the right clubs looking he is potentialy worth £1 mil plus I would have thought.
However, in a fire sale (like we had him).....

Well that's he'll of a profit

But seriously I reckon he'll have another few seasons here yet and who knows he could go for £5million or more in a few seasons time

He'll more than likely be at the Euro's this year. If we make the playoffs (especially final) and he puts in a good performance, watch interest in him go through the roof.
If he plays in the Euro's and does well, then I think we can put a more realistic price on him, in the region of £1-2 million. But not yet.

I feel we need to offer him an extension, to at least 2015
