Alan Davies and Hillsborough

He is absolutely right, why do some Liverpool fans think he is trying to be witty? He makes a valid point and there's hardly going to be a repeat of Hillsborough with all the modern safety procedures. Good on him for having the balls to say this, although we all know it is ridiculous.

Bitter scummy scouse victim complex has flared up again.

I don't think there's anything wrong with what he said and he should've had the balls to stand by it, as well, instead of backing down as he did (well, mostly).

Hillsborough '89 was dreadful, as he said, but so was Heysel, the Ibrox disaster etc. Time to move on.

He has a point especially with the Rangers Man U. thing.

I think he has a point. Man u have played games on the anniversary of the Munich plane crash. I don't think Davies was mocking the dead or relatives of the dead. I just think he was mocking the way the date is held in reverence. It was tragic always will be. But by that analegy we shouldn't be playing games on any other disaster date like 9/11, or world war 1 abd two. I can understand the fans desire to give the date some significance and for the date 'never to be forgotten', but surely the best mark of respect to pay would be to continue holding games on that date with say 2 mins applause out of respect.

He shouldn't have apologised, he was bang on.

"This tight-mouthed, furious, frowning, leaning-forward, bitter Glaswegian ranting: 'Liverpool FC do not play on April 15th.'"
Love the way he describes Dalglish  Brilliant
