He is absolutely right, why do some Liverpool fans think he is trying to be witty? He makes a valid point and there's hardly going to be a repeat of Hillsborough with all the modern safety procedures. Good on him for having the balls to say this, although we all know it is ridiculous.

I can understand the fans desire to give the date some significance and for the date 'never to be forgotten', but surely the best mark of respect to pay would be to continue holding games on that date with say 2 mins applause out of respect.
