Gutted he isn't with us this season. He's on fire at the moment for Brum, and is exactly the type of player that would not only suit the need within the team at the moment, but would also fit the mould that Malky sets for personnel in the squad.

He looks a lot bigger this season as well, and it appears as if Hughton told him to get in the gym and change his diet - it certainly looks like it's working because he's not suffering from 'second half of the season' syndrome like he did with us. I would even go as far as saying his first season with them has been better than any he's had with us...the boy has looked their best player recently.

Got a sneaky feeling he might line up against us again this season.

In the 2 or 3 season's he was with us, he never played anywhere near as well as he is playing for Brum. Living closer to Scotland has brought the best out of him, oh and the 25 grand he's probably on.

He's on money at Brum that we simply couldn't compete with, we've criticised previous boards for paying wages that were way over the top and based on his performances for us last season Burkey simply wasn't worth what he was asking for.

It my eyes it was a good move for him and I'm glad it worked out but he ain't a world beater as Naylor proved in the game down here before Christmas. If he's really on £25K at Brum then no wonder they are on the verge of Admin
