I felt MM got the first 11 spot on, what would have been your team?
Without either Mason or Gestede MM got his team selection absolutely spot on. I was also pleased to see Craig Conway getting a start and Filip Kiss at least making the bench. Having said that I was disappoimted that Darcy was dropped again and as much as I like Super Kev I thought he had a really poor game yesterday. Four out of the last 5 starts for Darcy has seen us keep a clean sheet, would he have made a difference yesterday? With MM having the team sitting so far off Watford probably not but I really think Darcy deserves a run in the team.
For me the most disappointing thing out of yesterday game was the contribution of Earnie, if you could call it a contribution, as from the moment he came on we seemed to lose any hope of keeping the ball when it needed to be cleared. KM was sent into a deeper role and in comparison to KM Earnie put in minimal effort. People have a go at Gestede but the lad at least puts himself about and from where I was sat Earnie looked like he couldn't be bothered to do even that.
Introducing Earnie was a pivotal moment in the game and looking back I would have preferred to see Darcy at least he would have beefed up the midfield or it would have allowed Super Kev to move forward and try to use his pace to catch them out.
Overall I thought MM have few options in his team selection, it was disappointing to lose Craig Conway, but Earnie proved one thing for me yesterday and that is he is neither use nor ornament.
