Who cares?! That's not his job. I agree that everyone has a man to mark but if you expect him to go charging about the pitch like Gattuso then you've got another thing coming.

You could not have been watching very closely then. He did not make one tackle and shit out of even putting a foot in.He runs around and does not mark anyone. I am dissapointed today mainly because Malky has tried to make him tackle and defend better and in all fairness he did have a good go up until about a month ago but now he has gone back into his shell. We really need him to do more as his attacking has also suffered recently and I would have subbed him today.

Love Whitts but he has been garbage pretty much all year so far. His work rate has got better but his set plays are currently shocking - always overhit and this defensive role has stifled his creativity but he also gives the ball away constantly in dangerous positions and has no pace to track his man back on the rare occasions he does go forward. He is our play maker but isn't being given the chance to influence the game at the moment. Malky please - play Kiss or Gunnarsson who can tackle and run in front of the defence and let Whitts revert to creating chances for us.

Your only as good as the players around you and the system the manager puts out I'm afraid there's no1 else to blame bar MM for results since halfway through january bar a few games he's the negative one who's got no idea what width is as he would prefer five midfield players as in eachothers pockets in the center of the pitch the guys clueless. Players do as instructed anyone who's played at a decent level knows this.

To be fair to him he has done well this season

He wasn't great yesterday but has been excellent mostly.

Whitts has been top class for most of the season, although he has not been up to the mark in the last few games could it be that Malky is playing him so deep he is almost in the f........g car park.He isnt going to hurt teams playing so deep
