That promotion isn't the right outcome for us this season.
I know we'd all love it, and I would too, but I feel that with the small squad we've got, promotion would be premature. Yes, the owners would provide more money for us to buy better players in the summer window, and we'd all love the arduous adventure of the Premier League.
But I think Malky needs another year to fully settle in and get the players to gel together - as well as new players who join us in the summer. We have such a small squad who is running out of steam after a gruelling 51 matches this season. I believe while Malky's done a fantastic job, we're a small squad punching above our weight and struggling as a consequence. Expectations are too high for a young and relatively inexperienced manager in his first year on the job. I think Malky is the man for the job - but not yet.
I know most of you might disagree with me, but this is my honest opinion. Don't feel angered and hostile towards me, but feel free to debate if you wish.
