Ali made a mistake, It was about 21,800 odd.

i don't take any notice of the attendances - I was told they take into account all the season tickets sold & not actually have a tally up system on the amount of cards & tickets purchased that go through the turnstile on the day.

I reckon if they did that then you'd have the exact attendance (obviously!) but I don't think the "powers that be" want Ali to say after 70odd minutes..."today's attendance is 16,000, thanks for your loyal support" And then get laughed at by the 2 mini buses of away support!

Well it was in the paper aswell so they must rely on ali's figures
