Jason perry spot on.

First half we played well IMO. Second have we looked tired and limp. What can we expect when we only have one days worth of rest since the last game. Watford had an extra day. Yes it was the same for boro too when they travelled to hull. But frankly it's a joke. We should have the same rest time as watford, as they looked quite lively in the second half.

Shouldn't be used an excuse but it's certainly an advantage.

Rings true when you also note that Boro went 1 up at half time and then lost 2-1.

This idea of players, or should I say anyone these days in sport, can only perform once a week, I don't quite get. So you run around a football pitch for 90-mins and that's it - you need the rest of the week to recover.

Can you imagine a brick layer humping a thousand bricks up four levels of scaffolding, then telling his boss that he won't be in work for the rest of the week? sorry I mean't humping bricks up the scaffolding for 1 1/2 hours rather than an 8 hour shift.

Perhaps the delicate people who run arond Tesco's stacking shelves should only do 90 minutes per week because they'd be too tired to come in the next day and do a bit.

Am I being too harsh here or am I right in thinking that sports people are lazy fuckers?

I know where you are coming from but even a bricklayer who's had 2 days rest would be fresher than one who's only had one day

I think the point is that at this stage of the season surely all teams should be playing on the same day, even if the kick-off times are different.

agree mate its all about mental attitude if you tell the players they are tired they will feel tired contrast the attitude by wayne rooney and fergie the last few weeks both saying they enjoy it when the games come thick and fast and the squad all feel fresh the proof is in the pudding

its the same as this time last season, where we had 1 day off between QPR and Preston, yet Noriwch had 3 days between There games against easier opposition too!
