Bothroyd vs Miller

Bearing in mind keeping Bothroyd would have meant a wage of probably 25k and no layout on transfer fee whereas Miller cost 700k and had a similar wage who would people say would have been the better option if you could go back to last July and take your pick of one of these being at the club for the season?

Good shout. I think that would have been a bit naughty. Altho 50k a week wouldn't be too great. I would have liked Bothroyd and Earnie together.

Millers a bluebird so I'm gunna give him the nod. But back in the summer I was gutted jay left and wasn't to keen on us signing miller! Even though he spent most of the time on his arse with a sulky face, he was still an excellent player at this level.. We could realy do with him playing for us right now.

People have a very selective memory when it comes to players and management from the Dave Jones era.

All good players were found by luck not because of Jones' astute use of scouting.

All failures were because Jones had far too much money to spend and wasted it on anything that had a good reputation.
