Sadly this guy has form when it comes to not giving us penalties. He was the referee who turned down two good penalty shouts away at QPR last season when both Bothroyd and Bellamy were taken down late in the game.

Although our overall record is not that bad with 5 wins,1 draw and 5 defeats from the 11 games he has been the match referee in our games I definatelywouldn't want him anywhere near a playoff match.

The guy always has been useless and how on earth he gets control of Premier League games I will never know.

Rest assured that all refs are assessed on every game they officiate. After the game they all sit down with laptops and go over the 'talking points' or 'decisions' etc. They will be marked down. I used to think they only got monitored at random games but according to a friend of mine that refeeres he said it can be quite tough as every game can count towards downgrading but as he says it should be tough decisions can ruin clubs or make them.
