I dont think we can underestimate

Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:16 pm

How big a win that was today for us, in some many aspects.

Heavy, heavy pressure was heaped upon Malky and the players by everyone surrounding the club and theyve answered with a huge statement of intent. A performance full of guts, desire, skill, tactical awareness and bravery - all being delivered at not only the right time of the season, but the most difficult time of the season - which makes it all the more sweeter.

Reading up on all the reaction up the North East, the media built the game up big time, just as it was down here, saying it was make or break and required a brave effort etc. Now they are writing off their chances and slating the under belly of Mowbray's team - a reaction that would certainly have been mirrored by our media.

Truth is we stood up today, the players fronted up and were able to do so because we've got a manager that's instilled a level of belief and fight within those that wear our famous jersey that no opposing team wants to match up against. The stats dont lie - only Southampton and West Ham have lost less games than us this season and that will be a huge factor in our push for the Premiership.

Monday will be an occasion...it's now starting.

Middlesbrough was a humongous 3 points for us you cant argue with that.If we beat Watford I honestly believe we would get enough momentum together to go all of the way. If we lose I think it would put a massive dent in our promotion chances and rightfully so, as we have to be winning our home games and get a degree of consistency going if we are to expect to see premiership football in Cardiff next season. I'm sure any neutral would say we deserve it having come so close so many times, and spent so much time playing at Wembley the last few years.

Would you dare to imagine it? We would be an absolute force to be reckoned with in the Prem, and could grow to be absolutely immense. Who gives a crap if Swansea got there first that would quickly be forgotten.

I agree with this.

Even with our recent dip in form, I've still had the belief this year that I never had under Jones.

We can still do this :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
