Its not all malkays fault!

Funny how it's malkays fault when we lose. Consider this....Malkay has basically rebuilt a cardiff city side that had no right to be as high up the league when you consider he brought in the players he did on a budget.

The only negative I can put towards the manager is when we hit rounds 4 of the carling cup we shouldnt have been putting our best, first team players in, which we see now really taking it's toll. Our players have played far more game than all the teams above us. The teams above us have a bigger squad to play with which helps rest key players.

The manager IMO could have dabbled more in the transfer market I agree. But remember, just because all of the top 6 teams have brought in players doesn't mean they are cheap. I would imagine if we didn't bring in players it was because they wanted 15 to 20 k a week and as we have seen before that doesn't work. Bellamy/chopra as two examples of a costly system that did well to begin with but petered out at the end.

I also read on here last week that if we were to get promoted this year the rate at which the debt would have to be paid back would be far costlier to us than if we stayed in the championship for one more season. Until the Langston loan is paid back we won't have the financial clout to do anything. Btw has it never occurred that quite simply teams won't let us win?! Teams do makes look shite at the moment. But I remember an awful lot of people on here saying when Malkay first came in that a top half finish to consolidate ourselves after much reshuffling and rebuilding would be fine with them as long as it eventually works towards the ultimate goal of promotion in seasons to come. Basically, in short, yes Malkay has made mistakes, but the bigger picture is all our financial woes with the club having to bring on players that will play for 7 to 10k a week instead of the huge sums of the jones era. Personally, I would like to see us own part of our club like the jacks have done, so we as fans get a say as to what's what and then we also get the inside info from the horses mouth instead of being fed tit-bits about things that often don't materialise. But ultimately we need to get behind the boys and the manager, after all it's not his fault we can't splash the cash thanks to the stupid debt we got ourselves or allowed ourselves to get into.

malky took the praise enough when we were winning and when we got to wembley, he must also take the flack when things go wrong..

he picks the team and dictates the style of play, he must be able to take the criticism when we question his tactics and team selection which is NOT WORKING.

Top post, agree with everything you said there. Millwall parked everything behind the ball yesterday and made it extremly difficult to brake down. Yes we were a bit clueless when we were outside the 18yard box but a points a point. We dont have the divine right to be in the playoffs especially when you look at some of the teams around us with their budgets and squad sizes

if we had had width we would have broken them down... going through the middle is always blocked, you need to stretch the opposition from side to side to create the openings through the middle otherwise its too easy for them to park the bus as they know which way we are coming at them...

the problem with what you say about the size of squad is that malky did/does not want to use the squad he got ,i have been consistantly saying on here for months that he needed to rotate his squad, 1or2 at a time to give players a rest ,blake naylor quinn at the back ,kiss conway ralls in the middle ,earnie up front ,imo he has stuck with out of form /fitness players and does seem not to trust his back up players, would he have the same problem with a larger squad ,lets be honest supre kev is living off past performances ,taylor has totaly gone backwards, and our 451 depends on both of them for width, which is stupid when your playing 5 in the middle who should be providing the width ,also when your fullback cant pass we are hit on the break ie birmingham away recently ,the only player who is capable of going forward with some pace and directness is kept on the bench (conway), now to the main problem at home games scoring goals ,imo miller is not good enough to play the lone striker role ,unless our players wise up and keep the ball on the ground ,or we play 442 to give miller some help ,personally i prefer mason to miller ,. saturday showed how desperate miller has become ,his confidence is totally shot , in conclusion malkies loyalty to some players has / might just ruin our chances of making the play offs ,malky was getting all the praises when we were winning and justifyable so , now we are failing he must be held responcible ,i go home and away only missed 5 games all season this is not a get malky out post ,just the way i see it ,also its not in hindsight as i said above i have been consistantly saying this for months see you at boro on saturday :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I know, i dont and cant understand why conway is being left on the bench. Hes the only winger in my opinion that attacks defenders and causes real problems, also when we try to play from left to right or right to left it needs to be alot faster than it is.
