We're going for a play-off place, but I can't see us getting it if Malky continues to use the same starting players week-in, week-out. There's no excuse not to use
all players available to him.
Darcy Blake is a fantastic talent and, considering McNaughton was holding his hamstring towards the end of yesterday's game, should get a game.
Games open up that little bit more when
Craig Conway gets on the pitch, and until Malky decides on which position Liam Lawrence is best suited to (he's been a winger his whole career, not a crap holding midfielder), he should get a game.
Despite being young and inexperienced at this level,
Kadeem Harris is available and the current line-up isn't working as it should. He should get a game.
Lee Naylor's another one available. I wasn't too impressed with him last season, but he's been brilliant in the few games he's played during Malky's reign -- like a new signing. He should get a game.
I'm not quite sure what's happened to
Joe Ralls, but I know the lad has bags of potential. If he isn't injured, he should get a game.
Dekel Keinan should be here. He has the quality -- better than Gerrard, in my opinion -- and it's hard to think where we would have finished last season without him and, instead, Cardiff Blues reserves player Gabor Gyepes in the starting line-up next to Hudson. Should have had more games, but he'll no doubt do well at another Championship club next season.
The team aren't performing as well as they could simply because they're knackered, and continuing to use them won't get Cardiff City into the play-offs. Freshen it up, give a few of them a break, and allow them to come back in one or two games time and get us back in the running for the promised land as a force to be reckoned with.
