HOW MANY MANAGERS HAVE CARDIFF GOT???

Sat Mar 31, 2012 4:27 pm

90% on this fourm recon they konw better than Malky, play him , dont play him, why dont you put that sub on, why did you take him off and so on and so on. Ok we are not playing the best football at the moment but we are still in 7th place might be 8th later on, but we are still in with a big shout of the playoffs. If it's still the same sort of football next xmas then fair enough moan all you want, but at the moment give malky a break :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Bingo.

With the massive rebuild at the club needed after the DJ/Ridsdale era, I'd have predicted mid table for us.

anything above that is a decent job by Malky.

i think its more of a capability issue now, we KNOW we can do and play better than what the last run of games has been. had we stuttered along all ytear and now we were 8th we'd be chuffed to bits, but we were up top all season and now we aren't. think thats the problem more than anything. i dont expect us to go up this year and not bothered if not, but the opportunity is there to, and looks like some strong teams will be coming down again and being promoted from league 1 :?

I agree with all the above, but, as we are safe mid table and exceeding all pre-season expectations, why is Malky playing stifling away tactics at home against a relegation threatened team.

1-0 to Jackett - He would have been delighted with a point today, but i have a sneaky feeling so is Malky, that's what's nagging in the back on my mind.

See, this is my problem with fans talking about tactics.

Stifling 4-5-1.

When Chelsea play 4-5-1 with Drogba up front, is that stifling? No, because the intent is that the formation and tactics are fluid. Our two wider players today, Mason, Whitts, needed to be getting forward to support Miller, the fluidity of 4-5-1 becoming 4-3-3 when needed. We've lacked for a while midfielders getting forward and I don;t believe that's by Malky's design, more something that just happens during games.

I remember once chatting to Kevin Lloyd. I asked why we just humped the ball from the back - the reply? "I don't know, it's just something that happens. We're certainly not told to do that".

Every team in the league has sussed us.

Hold a high line, due to us having absolutely no pace at all.
Crowd the midfield, stop Whittingham.

The only variation we can show is if Rudy comes on, his height does cause issues.

We can't get midfielders beyond Kenny as we are playing too deep.

All our problems have started since MM tried to find a position for Joe Mason, he is a central forward, play him there. Find a system of play that allows this, not play him out of position and bench our only natural wide player.

And 99% would have rotated the squad better. It's just not good enough I'm afraid.
