4-5-1
Coventry City
HOME
They haven't scored away since January apparently for goodness sake.
We need to get all of them causing problems left right and centre. It has to be a 4-3-3 for me, 4-5-1's brilliant vs mediocre/big teams and weve done the double over teams like Reading and beat Saints/Brum home etc using it. Weve dropped points against small/lower clubs like Donny away, Ipswich, Peterbrough etc.
Marshall
Kev(defensive like the old days, been worse when flying forward, hell be bck to Super Kev if all he does is defend and patrol, legend.
Hudson
Turner
Taylor - overlapping, when gap is created defence shuffle over, they shoudn't cause problems with Kev also staying back
Kiss - Deserves gametime, the only defensive mid int he team, Gunnar's very attacking in truth.
Lawrence - Patrolling the gpa between these 2, spread the play wide , back and central, perfect for him.
Whitts - creative freedom role, where he just does the damage, free role.
Mason - Inside forward, causing problems.
Conway - Attacking left, rather than in midfield, this way he dosen't need as much pace to run down the wing, he's already there, just give him the ball and with feet he causes trouble, natural winger but lacks pace, very beenficial for him.
Miller/Gestede - Miller's perfect here, the service is all directed at him, and he can be used as a decoy for Mason, he's all round, solid in the air and can notch an assist or two, would guarantee goals here.
This is it, must be done, Kev issue sorted, and works brilliantly against the lower ckubs, makes sense and takes the advantages out of all the players, and takes the negatives out.
* If Gestede was to play Whitts would go into the channels(already shoudl do in a free role( and whip it in, constant supply out wide.
*Cowie could easily fill in Lawrence role but Cowie needs a proper rest and dosen;t have the technical skills of Lawrence who can pop up with a bullet and can spray the passes far more mobile than Cowie imo. Skill> Work rate against the lower clubs, game-changers.
