" Unfair to judge Malky this early "

Mon Mar 19, 2012 4:07 pm

I think he should be judged at the end of next season after a summer of bringing in his own players in :ayatollah:
He's only been here a short time but the way some fans are they want him to fail so they can say i told you so blah blah..
Get behind malky and the squad he chooses and remember how far we have come since the days of getting turned over by the likes of scarboro, torquay, crewe, lincoln and barnet  :ayatollah:
Now we are a decent championship side although some results aint very good we should show malky a little patience he's still a young manager and still learning and i feel he's going to be a quality manager :ayatollah:

I agree, no one should say he should be sacked this season or turn on him after this season no matter what, but fans are allowed their opinions.
Personally, I can see him being judged big time next 0ct/Nov depending where we are.
Malky is young/still learning/full of passion/will make mistakes along the way/but lets back him all the way this season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I believe every new manager should be given time to prove what they can do and they should be supported. I agree that Malky should not be judged on this season alone due to the squad he inherited. However there are a few concerns that have been raised in his reluctance to change faces when the need arises, the lack of substitutions and the failure to bring in new faces. (although this could be down to the lack of funds, who knows).

He needs to be backed in the summer and next season we will have a better insight into his managerial skills. He can bring in more players that he wants and lets see what he gets out of them. :ayatollah:

After the depleted team he inherited at the start of the season Malky is doing better than 16 other managers so far :ayatollah:
Things could be a lot worse

Im sure Malky himself will be the first one to say each and every fan is entitled to their opinion and messageboards are for that exact purpose.
I was on here yesterday letting off a bit of steam as I have been very disappointed with our performances of late and I believe Malkys tactics have been disappointing and ill still stand by that
I honestly believe if malky is backed in the summer and I dont mean silly money like Leicester have spent in recent times, and he brings in quality players to his liking then we will make the play offs next season

The key is "Quality" players. I think we need about eleven new quality players next season, not like for like, but better players.
Any thing less & we will go further backwards.

The problem Malky has is the expectation built up over this season and the success we have had. Another thing going against himis the club's history of failure come the run in to the season. I believe next year will be the time to judge his efforts. I have said several times in posts we all would have taken mid table this year given what went on in the summer. We all have to be patient and see what the summer brings into the club. If he fails to address our lack of goals it will only be a question of time before he looses the fans won over this year.

I didnt mean people shoudnt have an opinion. What i was saying is i think its harsh and uncalled for when some are wanting him gone this soon..

also keep in mind, cardiff's failure to reach the prem in the past is not Malkys fault... cut him some slack, let him get on and do the job, give him time, and if it doesn't work out then we can criticise when we have a bigger picture. I honestly feel that when he has achieved a full compliment of players, he will have more movement in the team, and the team will be more consistent.. upto now, i'm happy, he's exceeded my expectations for this season already. :ayatollah:

Spot on Jase. I can't believe some of the bollocks written about him. Bordering on the deranged. Malky has worked a miracle to get us challenging this season and to a cup final. If you believed half the stuff on the messageboards, the Malaysians are con artists, Malky has lost the plot and we haven't got one decent player. Nobody is safe from the keyboard warrior philosopher!!!!
