Hi lads & lasses,
:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

no point in giving my view on yesterday (& Hull) as it's pretty much the same as everyone else's. In a nutshell..poor. I was using fatigue as the main factor for inept displays, and it probably has a large effect on things still, but even that excuse can't paper over the inability to string 3 passes together - even sideways!

I think the answer is easy. If it wasn't broke - then don't try & fix it. The next 10 or so games go back to what we did at the start of the season....

4-5-1. Whitts playing in front of the back 4. Kiss & Gunnar snapping at opposition heels pressing high up the pitch giving Whitts time & protection he needs to pick a pass, play Cowie on the right (or Lawrence?), Conway on the left & either Jo or Miller up front. Simple. :old:

( An alternative idea I thought of - especially at home - is playing 3 at the back as nearly every team who comes here plays 1 up front. Flood the midfield by playing 5 across it using the whole of the pitch, and play 2 up front - ideally some big lumper battering ram on loan - with one of the others we already have.)

Failing that - we have a squad of 20+ players signed on. Start using them!!

You never know we may score a goal on Wednesday - then we can start believing again as yesterday the atmosphere on the terraces was almost as dour as the "football" we were watching!!!!!!!!!!

I still believe in a good end to the season...I think...just :!: :?: :!: :?: :!:
