My view of all this negative bullshit.

Mon Mar 19, 2012 2:46 am

Firstly, i rarely post on this board, but tonight have speant an hour or two going through all these posts about how bad we are at the moment, and even a post claiming we need a new manager, that has to be one of the stupidest threads ive ever seen on here.
In a recent interview, malky said that his first day of training up the vale, he had 10 first team players running around a field, its only when you put yourself in his position you see how hard it would have been to put together a squad to establish a mid table finish this season, let alone a carling cup FINAL, and being in the play offs for over half the season. All these bullshit posts about how shit we are at the moment are pure rubbish, put yourselves in the position of portsmouth, or doncaster, we need to count ourselves lucky we're not fighting for relegation ffs! majority of people at the start of the season claimed they would be happy with mid table, and currently, even though were ona terrible run, were still EXCEEDING expectation, so f*cking back off the players, back off the manager, and ffs, stop the booing at matches, i was ashamed today when a breif section of our fans booed at the final whislte, wait for the summer, so malky has a proper transfer window to bring in players, and build the squad he wants, theres exciting times ahead for this club, some just need to learn to be f*cking patient. Sorry for the essay, just expressing my opinion. Over and Out.

Win is very much needed on wednesday, so all this negative shit will simmer down, and we will be able to watch the doubters crawl back into there holes WHEN we make the play offs, have faith!, in Malky we trust!!! :ayatollah:

I fully agree. Whilst there are some 'issues' with things at the moment a huge dose of perspective is needed with some. I also believe there are certain members of this forum and of our support who just need to simply enjoy supporting the City ad that the result is not the be all and end all.

We're lucky we've got such a great club that we have the opportunity to support throughout the season with our mates, and families etc. Dont get me wrong we can all get caught up in the emotion of trying to
Win everything and get promoted etc, however we need to just chill sometimes and go back to having a laugh at the footy - in fairness most of us where we are at the back of the Canton do that. Those who boo are entitled to as paying fans, but I dont agree

Well said - with 9 games left we are still in with a chance of the playoffs - we didn't expect that last May. Some people expect us to win every game, for some reason or other. I suspect they may be just as impatient and intollerant in other aspects of their lives aswell

We have a lot of extreme fans to be fair, when things are going well some people think we are the best, unbeatable, everyone is perfect. Then a run of bad form and and the world is over and everyone is awful.

Cant agree more mate, one word comes to mind when i think of half of our fans, and that is fickle. True fans will understand the task malky has had this season, and understand that all teams go through rough patches, thats just football, but booing and not supporting the team will not help in anyway!
