Same Team Selection

Sun Mar 18, 2012 8:43 pm

I know that there are many fans who think that Malky cannot do anything wrong. I always support the manager but Malky's current team selection and lack of substitutions are surprising at the moment. We have not performed as a team since the Southampton match apart from the CC Final and to a lesser degree the Posh game. Otherwise we have been extremely average.

For this reason and the performance against Hull Malky was again stubborn in his selection for todays game. Earnie did enough when he came on against Hull to warrant a start today. He came on in the 78th minute. What was the point? There have been a few other players under performing but regardless of their performance they are being picked week in week out. DJ was slaughtered for the same reasons. Why not give some players a chance if some are not performing. Why not play Earnie with Miller. When at home why not be positive and play a 4-4-2 rather than the 'current 'boring' 4-5-1. Our first effort against Hull was in the 46th minute. Today we were lucky not to be down at half time again. We had very few chances. In fairness to Miller he is running his socks off up from by himself. He needs support. If he had someone along side him and some decent distribution he would be scoring 20+ goals per season. We played 4-4-2 against Barnsley earlier in the season with Miller and Earnie and we scored 5.We just need to mix it up a bit.

after the shocking performance against hull i cannot believe that he went with the same line up...

i thought we should av changed formation and 2 or 3 personnel..

4-5-1 is shit and is not working.. conway needs to start more, he got more crosses in and created more than we had for 60mins prior.

Conway had 3/4 very good games scoring against Portsmouth, Southampton and a pen against Palace and then he was dropped and not even used as a sub off the bench for over a month. Why? Two things that win matches are pace and width and at the mo, we have neither.

Would love to freshen the starting 11 up, so predictable at the moment :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
