For me, that was just a massive knee-jerk reaction because Heaton did so well in the final two Carling Cup games. In actual fact though, apart from the one mistake against Pompey, Marshall has been exceptional! A bit like Naylor, I think they are judging Marshall on past errors and are being too blinkered to notice what a massive improvement he's made this year (just like Naylor).
Heaton at this point in time is going to be leaving in the summer so again, why would be leave out our regular (and committed) keeper for one that may be gone in 2 months time? For me, they are slightly different keepers but Marshall is the alround better keeper and I've added the video below to show people exactly how good Marshall's been this season. People on here after the game on Tuesday were calling for Heaton to come in and they couldn't have gone to the game because Marshall was the only thing in the way of us losing 5 or 6 nil.
Surely time to get off this silly Heaton band wagon and back our number one?

Scotland's number 1 and our number 1.
I rate Tom Heaton as well, mind, so it's a shame he won't be playing regularly for us, due to Marshall's form and it'll be a sad day when Heaton leaves us.

Couldn't agree more mate. I think either of them could be number ones, i just believe Marshall has the slight edge on wheaten at the moment. You can't blame Tom for wanting to play first team football though, especially when his stock is so high.
