When that chant starts up, as it obviously did last night, I cringe. Booing the ref is fair enough, but personal abuse knowing that there are going to be more 50/50 decisions and close calls for him to make, as professional as they are meant to be when they hear that it makes me think whats in the back of their minds ready for the next big decision? We don't want them against us.

How is booing him, and the usual chant of "you dont know what you're doing", any better than calling him names ?
It should all focus the refs attention and hopefully pressure him to our way of thinking. Rather than the opposite.

Same here. I saved my bile for the linesman in front of the Ninian. I don't often give much abuse to officials (it is a very hard job they have, every football fan should be made to run the line or ref a game once to fully appreciate how hard it is to see things from pitch level) however that guy last night was absolutely f*cking hopeless and needs to knock it on the head.

As a ref, any abuse I get goes in one ear and out the other and has no bearing on any decisions I give. As these guys earn much more than me, I'd expect the same from them.

The ref would not have made any diffrence to are abortion of an effort to play football, we was out done all night in every area of the pitch yet again nobody else to blame but MM for watching the shower of shit and not changing it or even the formation end of it took 3-0 for him to make a f*cking sub for god sake

STOP CRYING OVER GOALS THAT WERE NEVER GIVEN

I never sing abuse at the ref because I prefer to just mutter things and curse to myself. However, when the incidents happen I have been known to shout blasphemous things in the direction of the ref. It's part of their profession. They know it's all shallow abuse and not personal. I didn't think the actual ref was too much a tw*t. I thought linesman was a right c*nt though!
