Wild bunch. Loud. Aggresive. Not a woman or child in sight.
The way it should be.
Good game as well.

the euro fans have only started coming over in the last 10 years
the would never have come over mob handed in 70/80/90s
they know britain is and easy touch
can you imagin what would have happened if that lot had gone to chelsea in 80s the would have struggled reaching the ground

My Italian language skills are not the best but I'm sure they're singing...
We are from Napoli,
the Germans are comming and we surrender,
we hold our hands up and wish to run away
We don't want to return to Napoli
Cos theres twenty Germans and a mob from Zimbabwee
etc, etc ,etc

Bunch of cry babies in the seats after game

On a more serious note Naples is a fecking dangerous place. I remember a old school lad telling me he went there on a bit of a tour round Italy with some cockneys in the early eighties. They were trying on sunglasses in a market place larking around. Before they knew it a mob of knife wielding locals had realised they were brits and set about them. They had to run like the hell out of there. My old friend who was game as f**k said f**k going there for a game. He was just on holiday.

Theres some nightmare places out there ,all over the world

I thought you said you been around for a long while supportin city jinx?

why do people consider Ultra groups to be firms or hooligans.
there supporter groups nothing more nothing less.
they are 'extreme' supporters with their levels of support and chants.
though on occasions Ultras have turned violent these are generally considered an exception rather than the norm, Ultras do not go looking for trouble, they arrive en masse and stay together for the entire day or match creating atmospheres which they believe help the team and players in their performance. Ultra groups can vary in size from tens to thousands of supporters. Clubs normally have one main Ultra group with sub-groups being created around different factors such as geography and political beliefs.
Ultras display their teams colours proudly and are easily recognisable from a distance, they travel together and normally in one main group so they are easily policed.
Where as hooligans normally try to remain inconspicuous whilst travelling to games and as a rule do not wear team colours.
Though hooligans have infiltrated Ultra groups across Europe they are still considered to be in the minority and violence is rare.

And back in the day Citys away support was generally young men between 16-40, hardly any women and children and there was edge to the atmosphere. Wherever we went.
Now football has gone all pc and soft. Thats not exclusive to City its the way football has gone and it aint for the better.

I know what you mean we had excellent away support in them days but football has changed and in my opinion sort of for the better now i take my kids
Atmosphere was a big part of why i liked going to matches when i was younger and still is and my two always sing but im still suprised how many teens dont sing and just sit there with no passion

Looking at it as a family man yes its better for families nowadays
but the atmosphere has been compromised.
I got two girls with no interest so I still go to the game as ive always done. To have a few beers and get a bit lairy but football as I know and love has gone.
Seeing that scunny 93 thread the other day hit it home even more that the best days of gone.

You wont get anywhere near scunny away even if we won the play off final at wembley. i loved pitch invasions after goals at northampton and colchester etc
I think the last funny mad away game i went to was brentford on a boxing day and i got locked out with 100s of others but great laugh
Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:40 pm
I got in that day

Was on the pitch all the time. Great times.

Took my bird (now wife) to pompey mid 90s for a cup game as my mate pulled out last minute.
Cardiff scored so I went bananas down the terrace and when I turned around she was picking herself up off the deck hair everywhere, face like thunder.
She hasnt been since.

I've followed Wales and city away but the only time I took the wife was the Italy v Wales game in Milan.
We were staying in bergamo, and got the train in to meet a few mates before the game.
Any way we were near burger king on the main square when this Italian started goading a few welsh who were sitting having a few beers.
I said to the wife if it kicks off just go inside burger king, just then the Italian runs into the welsh mob and it all kicks off, after a bit of banter and throwing a few chairs the old bill arrive and everything calms down, I head into burger king where the wife has a right go because I was outside and she thought I would have followed her in..
Since then she decided never to go with me again.... Result

The majority of foreign support on these shores are British based fans getting tickets.
I used to run coaches for Benfica and Sporting Lisbon fans in London, and once these supporters clubs are affiliated with their respective clubs, its really easy to get hold of tickets. You ask, you get. I imagine the same applies to any other nationality that has a club playing in the UK.
