I dont understand why the concern re debt - as its not necessarily a bad thing.

Let me explain.... Its a bit like Fat. You get bad fat (like Saturated) and good fat (like Unsaturated).

Debt is no different. Bad Debt is when you owe money to the HMRC or banks and, like Rangers and Pompey, it can destroy clubs. However we have what I consider to be Good Debt. There is a large portion that is owed to Langston. However, that is a facility that does not have to be repaid until 2016. The vast majority of our debt is owed to our Malaysian Owners and in lieu of shares. I say this is good debt as they are unlikely to bankrupt us as they would lose out financially.

Yes we had some dark days, nobody has ever pretended otherwise, however that's whats happens with rogue owners, who aren't there for the good of the club just for the good of their ego.
Now we have a chairman who has guided us from that mess on and off the field to become one of the best run clubs in the country. from 92nd to hopefully top 10 without once gambling the future of the club or directors charging the club interest.
Run by fans, owned by fans, loved by fans that's Swansea City Football club.
