As much as I support you, I have to disagree with your comments, we lost because we were second best and very poor and they tore our defence to pieces.
They were not the best officials I agree with that, but we lost because we were totally out played.
You make your own luck in football, sometimes decisions go your way sometimes they don't, it evens out over a season.
Lets be honest and not kid our selves,Hull were the better team on the night.

Annis today was the worst defensive display I have seen from us for as long as I can remember
But we all need to pull in the same direction until the end of the season and see where we end up
Wed Mar 14, 2012 1:12 am
Agree with both of you.
Yes if the official got things right the game could have been very different but they didn't and on the night if it wasn't for Marshall it could have been 5 or 6

We may have been poor but, we had a perfectly good goal dissalowed and that could have changed the game. Even with the third goal (player being offside) we could have pulled it back but after that there was no hope.

What is Darcy Blake doing wrong not to start ahead of Mc Naughton these days ? Blake was man of match against Pompey yet the following game he gets dropped and Cardiff then go on a poor run of matches , worst and slowest defence Ive seen at Cardiff for a few years ...... also the verdict is out on Lawrence for me . Just another journeyman heading for League 1 .

I agree they were better we have nothing in the final third of the pitch it would be interesting to see how many shots on target we have had in the last ten games because we did have a good ratio but now we dont work the keeper enough.
The defence just does not get stuck in last night was a joke 4 defenders in front of 1 player and they just sit off and then the player finds himself ontop of Marshall and has a shot. Why dont we challenge for the ball in and around are goal its just an invite to score goals and this more than anything is pissing me off.Super Kev is letting player past him and his distribution is poor dont mean to slag players kev has been a good player for us but the wheels have come off.
Ithink the fact we didnt strenthen is the problem and the players we got on loan havent made the difference and if you sign a loan player then why not play him its pointless otherwise and if he aint good enough dont sign him.
3-0 down and the the place empties that pissed me off to.

Look at our rivals squads on paper, and we are overachieving to be where we are in this league, so if we are honest with ourselves we will have very much overachieved if we make the playoffs, let's just remember that we are rebuilding and just enjoy the rest of the season come what may
Wed Mar 14, 2012 8:17 am
Agreed Annis !! We were second best in every department and deserved to loose. Yes we had a perfectly good goal dissalowed and there third looked off side , but we got what we deserved as Bristol City lucky win covered up the cracks.
Yes I thought Marshall didn't do anything wrong and earnie looked sharp and hungry when he came on. The team look jaded and short of ideas and for some reason lack confidence. Everyone is having a go at Miller but the player who has lost form the most for me is Whitts. He is to deep and Liam Laurence last night was not good. But he was no worse than the rest to be fair.
And a final word of discontent goes to Gerrard and his tweet on Liverpool and our fans, very dissapointed there chiefs .
Wed Mar 14, 2012 8:25 am
Annis, you are totally correct.
Its time for Malky to start using the squad that he has got. Its not about playing the best players, its about playing the best team to win. That was not the best team to win last night.
Super Kev is not so super at the minute. Last year Quinn was our best right back at the club.
Miller desperately needs some help. The long ball will not work when we do not have somebody up front that can actually win a header.
What was Lawerence doing in the first half? I thought we were getting a wide man in. He just got in the way of Whittingham.
Why was Conway dropped? Last game he started he was man of the match.
We have an outside chance of still getting into the playoffs. Lets not mess this chance up.
Must win on Sunday.
Wed Mar 14, 2012 8:41 am
Annis agree with you, we were second best all night, defended like shit and could not string 2 passes together. looking like a massive mistake not to have brought in a couple of players in January. Lets hope that Malky can sort it out.
Wed Mar 14, 2012 9:26 am
Hull, tore through our defence today and could of scored more.

Kev's og changed everything. We had to chase the game and Hull have a bit of pace (which we lack) and are set up for a counter-attacking game. When we pushed forward they hit us on the break. We didn't get any luck (disallowed goal and hit the post) they had luck (offside goal and Marshall saved McClean's first shot but rebound sat up nice for him to score the third). Another day another result. I would take Hull in the play-offs any day. They looked good because of the way we had to chase the game. They are nothing special.

You were 3-0 down at home to Middlesbrough after 18 minutes, last season! Lita scored.
Come the second half the only people watching the game were Dave Jones & Middlesbrough's 100 fans.

It could have been 6-0 lets be real here we offered nothing up front when going forward , the only time i seen there goalie make some saves was when earnie had some shots off atleast he dont put it in row z
Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:06 pm
I think last night was the combination of bad luck and a poor performance. We've played worse and got something but last night it just wasn't happening. I was disgusted by the chants to bring Earnie on. I'm sorry, I forgot we started disrespecting players on the pitch. Also, it always makes me laugh when fans are leaving with 15 minutes to go and clapping to "Loyal supporters!"
The main things we got wrong last night were our shape, touch, passing, movement and defensive side of our game. It's obvious but it's true. Every team has a bad day though and we just need to learn from it because dwelling isn't going to help. We have a team of strong characters and I am certain that we will bounce back big time in our next game.
It would help playing Mason, Lawrence and Cowie in their correct positions though. We are desperately lacking a left winger too. Taylor was so exposed last night and was being forced to cover the whole left side both defensively and attack-wise. I'm a big Malky fan but thought he got quite a few things wrong last night. He's only human though and he rarely does get it wrong.

Its the same shit week after week now 11 totally knackered players playing long ball and hope with are 4-5-1 miss the whole midfield with passes .Theres no width AT ALL yet we still can not pass it about or around them with five in are midfield

, We got defenders who can not defend or mark, a striker who couldnt score in a ladyboy knocking shop out in taiwan and to go with all that we got MM blaming refs ect week after week yet we had to watch another 90+mins of complete dire football AGAIN .Two months of this garbage we have had he needs to change something, rotate players or even a diffrent formation because i long for a normal 4-4-2 with two wide men and a big man upfront to atleast WIN a header or two and hold it up then maybe some attacking football to follow, instead of the 18 yardf line we seem to be making house on these days. Transfer windows come and passed and that told me all i needed to know on what the club wanted to do
Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:20 pm
Totally agree with you Annis,I said all along we needed some cover and we needed to bring a few bodies in,some posters have screamed about the rebuilding process and financial issues but nobody expected Tevez or Podolski.Imo we needed a few more players to freshen up and give opposing teams something to think about instead of the same team week in week out which our rivals will suss out, we all know the general opinion on bringing in a load of players on loan it ain't the answer if we are rebuilding. We have all been through the 3 - 0 hammerings from teams like Rochdale back in the days but we have been in with a shout of the premiership for a few years now and I see no reason why fans cannot yearn for premiership football.I support Malky 100% but that doesn't mean he is always right.Get those squad players involved and create some competition for places and I reckon we will see a different team,we were in the top 2 earlier in the season and you don't become a bad team overnight but you might get found out,I believe every player is giving 100% but sometimes a spring clean is needed,so come on Malky give the fringe players a reason to be there and give the regulars something to think about.

If Malky feels his players never let him down last night, why did he not shake not even of our players hands at the end ?

Heat of the moment dissapointment? wanted them all back in the changing room to give them a grilling?

Err coz we dont have one rudy is a div 2 player at best and parkin is out on loan hes twice the player rduy is when it comes to holding the ball up and winning headers aswell as that he can bully defenders rudy just falls over if he gets touched or loses control like normal, my point is we need to change it and should have bought new players its not rocket science when ive been watching the same team more or less since halfway through jan give 50% effort because thats all they have left in them to give

If i said we do not close other teams down and get on to them which won us many games like we used to up untill halfway through jan you would find an answer to say we still do it even lastnight because thats how you are , when clearly we do not do it anymore and have not done since halfway though jan

Why would he want them to be given a grilling if they were unlucky ?
Personally they could of lost 6-2 in eyes at least.

Gestede can win the ball in the air, just can do feck all else with it, Parkin is who we need but Malky doesnt rate him for whatever reason (probably because hes overweight and still quite a poor player).
Vuckic was our next best hope of winning the ball and playing it but hes now gone back to Newcastle and Cardiff are looking to get him back.
None of the targets in January are exactly Target Man material to be honest and yes, it would have helped the team to rest them if we did invest. But looking back? Our squad is currently standing at at least 30 players. More than enough for rotation if the players are training hard enough.
Your right, we arent closing teams down well enough like we were and we are giving up the second ball far too easy which frankly is abysmal for a team to do. Last night i feel if our dissallowed goal had stood it would have been a completely different game. But, we also have to take into account that Hull have the best deffensive record in the league so getting through their defense was never going to be easy unfortunatly. Does not make up however for how poor the performance was overall.

Yes, No one likes bad decisions when they go against us, but the point I am making is we were 2nd best last night and I get fed up of excuses. Lets accept it and plan the down fall of Burnley and take it out on them.

We were second best I agree, but I feel we could have held on for a point should our goal have been allowed.
