A forum for all things Cardiff City

I hear a lot of fans saying our players are tired and fatigued and so on. What a load of old flannel that is. How long does it take to get over a match? A couple of hours tops. These guys are professional athletes, if you asked them if they were tired they would tell you to stop talking shite.
The only reason we've been getting the results we have is because we have a team cobbled together in a few short months by a new manager and we've gone through a bad run of form.
We have already started turning things around and I expect the upturn in form to continue tomorrow with a hard fought 3 points over a very hard to beat Hull City that haven't lost in the league since new years day only conceding 5 goals in that time.
City 1-0 Hull

Full recovery wont take a few hours more like 4 days but still matches are far enough apart

Players ain't tired, it's just an excuse people are looking for.
They have time to recover but let's be honest even us normal folk feel better and a bit sharper after a break from work or a holiday.
West ham go to Dubai for a break and we play a 120mins and pens, it will have an effect physically and mentally. West ham had better players and looked sharper. It's done we moved on with good results.
Bristol looked more tired than us.

I am not making any excuses. But any athlete cant stay at his best for 8 months, they peak they taper off, you can only sustain a high level for a limited period, getting very fit isn't the hard bit, sustaining it is. FACT
