Cardiff striker Rudy Gestede is a doubt with a hamstring injury sustained in a home defeat by West Ham.
Stephen McPhail remains out with illness but Craig Conway is another option in midfield after returning to the bench at the weekend.
Hull could be without on-loan Manchester United winger Robbie Brady, who has picked up a thigh injury.
Striker Aaron Mclean is likely to return to the starting line-up if Brady fails to make it.
