Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson, 21 yr old striker, has recovered from an ankle injury. He was on course to join Cardiff on trial last autumn and hopefully he will arrive on trial soon as Cardiff will snap up a potentially better player than Gudjohnsen ever was.
He played his first full game after the injury against Solkskjærs Molde in a friendly yesterday where Solkjær said after the game that this player is destined for great things.
Little glimpse of Sigurdarson in yesterdays game:

Players who go on trial are usually crap, hopefully this lad is decent.

Wow, this is a shocker, to be honest.
Lillestrøm is my home town club, and I've been watching Björn, or 8jörn as some of us write it, referring to his jersey number, for a few years. The lad is absolutely brilliant, and I'm sure the Championship level would suit him well this stage in his career. In my opinion his best position is the central offensive midfielder in a 4231 system, or the supporting striker in a 4411 system.
8jörn's got an amazing view for the game, and can pick out a few rather mind blowing passes at times. Having gone regularly to matches for a little more than 15 years now, apart from a few years when I went to the university, I've seen quite a few good players at the club. Even on a list of QPR's Helguson, Hull's Koren, Coventry's former Nordmann and Mifsud, Leeds' former Einarsson, as well as players kicking about in Bundesliga right now, I've got to say that Sigurdarson is one of the absolute top men I've seen at this club.
I hope he'll stay for a few more seasons, but if he is to go, Cardiff would of course be the best option imo.

More about 8jörn:
His contract with Lillestrøm runs until December 31st 2013. Unlike a lot of the clubs in the Norwegian Tippeliga, the club has recovered fancially, and is not desperate to sell. However, a most fans here seem to think that Sigurdarson will be sold either this summer, or at the end of the year. According to transfermarkt.de his expected transefer value is set to 2 million euros, which is what I guessed before chicking it out, so it does seem plausible.

Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson looks like a really good player. Hopefully we can sign him in the summer. It all depends on how much money we have to spend in the transfer window
Hopefully Gunnar can persuade him to sign as well!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKd7tNlyTX4&feature=fvwrel good video although the music gets on your nerves.Picks a pass out and his pace looks good however our leagues are tougher so im not sure the defence would be as easy.
