Everytime I look at the remaining fixtures...

...involving the teams around us and our own fixtures, the more I think/believe automatic promotion is still on.

Plenty of points will be lost by those around us as a fair few still got to play each other, and with 7 out of our 11 at home fortress CCS might just stand up and be decisive in the race for the autos.

All ifs and buts and this stage I know, but with the Carling Cup now firmly out of the way this team have got a massive opportunity now and nothing is decided yet - far from it.

Teams above us will faulter, and it's my opinion that Southampton will have an awful run in. However without focusing on our competitors we need to simply focus on our own efforts as a quality run from our boys will see us close enough leading into the last couple of games. We have many dependencies that need to re-emerge if we're to make the next couple of months hugely successful, they are in my opinion:

1.) Miller to start converting chances. His value in our build up play is not in question, however as a lone striker playing in the system that he does we need him to ignite a scoring run.
2.) Our young and inexperienced players to stand up and not be fazed by the potential enormity of the next few weeks. Our senior players and Malky have a huge role to play in this respect
3.) Stephen Mcphail playing consistently in the run in - would be a major factor and injection of creativity; experience and genuine quality that the team needs
4.) Malky to be brave in his approach, have faith in his players to deliver wins and be bold.
5.) Defence to really front up in the battle as a tight unit - we have undoubted talent in this area and if they pull together to eradicate our record of being the worst in the league of losing points from being in winning positions, accumulation of points will follow.
6.) Midfield to continue the work rate and passing/movement they've shown all season. Malky needs to be conscious of the potential tiring of his more 'favourite' players and ensure we're fresh as we can be with team selection etc.

The late surge is now on - starting with a nice & rowdy bumper crowd Tuesday night to get the ball rolling. Bring your voices, it's 12th man time more than ever...got to luv this stage of the season :ayatollah:

As much as I very doubt it will happen automatic promotion, you can never say never in football or life. :ayatollah:

Just putting out there how I genuinely feel at this stage...next 3 at home where 3 wins are expected could completely change the whole course of the run in, and expectations with it IF we get the results we should get.

For the gentleman who queried, Trecenydd Snook Hall is my local buddy :D

I fully expect and believe we'll get 9 points from the next 3 games...that in itself could set up a very interesting remaining few weeks. Momentum will be huge and the timing of these fixtures and bringing us right back into the frame.

It might seem a little foreign to us City fans but I can see us gathering pace at the right time this season, as apposed to tailing off

why so negative all the time mate???? if swansea can beat man city and be only 3 pts behind liverpool , anything can happen....

football is a funny game. we finally have options on the bench and 7 home games to look forward to... alot of teams in and around us all still have to play each other so someone has to drop pts..
