He was excellent.

If we never had earnie he would be a huge fans fav but people are obsessed with how good earnie used to be.

He did everything but score :ayatollah:

A prime Alan Shearer would find it hard to play as a lone striker.

If you think of all the great strikers very few played as a lone striker.

I think Miller is doing a great job leading the line.

bollocks

If he put the ball in the back of the net he would be a huge fans favourite

People are now asking for earnie to be on the bench cos at the minute KM couldnt hit vanessa feltz arse with a tennis racket.

Out of form. No confidence. Sorry but if KM had five shots at john lennon he'd still be alive today.

No, Shearer played in a 442 with the likes of Ferdinand, Ginola, Owen, Bellers etc.

He wasn't asked to defend, drop deep and link up the midfield.

When was Shearer asked to play like Kenny then?

Under Keegan? Under Robson?

He does play well every game, gets in the right positions/battles/gives his all/quality when going past players/passing quality, but his finishing of late or shall I say months, is very poor.

I thought Kenny had his best game in a while last night. Good movement, good link play and more important for me all but 1 attempt on goal was on target. Also thought on another day he would have had won a penalty because I thought you couldn't go through the back of a player to get the ball. Outside the area and Mr Oliver would have 100% given the freekick in my opinion but as he would have had to send the wurzel defender off the bottled it.

Last night there were signs that Kenny Miller is returning to form and I think the goals are going to start flowing very soon now.

Love how everyone is getting on Kennys back for going through a goal drought but when Chopra did it was a case of 'don't worry Chops! You'll still score! Chopra's our hero/idol/legend! *arselick arselick arselick*'

Funnily enough, people on here have only seemingly complained about 4 strikers 'underperforming'
John Parkin (didn't have enough time to prove himself. Ran the target man game well though)

Jay Bothroyd (went in and out of form. No matter how much of a nancy he was he was still brilliant)

Kenny Miller (hasn't scored in 9 games but has assisted and made defenses shit themselves with his movement and general play)

ROBERT EARNSHAW (too greedy, lacks his pace, not a team player, list goes on. Everyone wanted rid of him in January but are all doing u-turns claiming he would thrive in Millers role.....no. Miller plays the role at international level and club level for a reason, it's his preferred position and he thrives in it)

 How many chances have the team created for him of late ? All his shots are outside the box. When was the last time he had a chance in the box apart from Wembley ?

That's the problem!

It's not his job! He is not asked to play as an out and out striker.

Sweet baby Jesus.....

Playing deep behind Rudy counts as 442 in your world?

No disrespect but scoring is a large part of his job. He's not being asked to play center half. Good player but maybe needs a spell riding pine.

YAWN again.....

He always plays deep behind Rudy - YOU DON'T EVEN RATE RUDY!!!!!

I think Miller is by far the best we have.

And I've always thought 'Plan A' was to sign Goodwillie.

I predict we will sign Goodwillie in the summer.

Great player. Made a huge mistake joining Blackburn.
