" Where is this striker?? "

Sat Mar 10, 2012 8:37 am

MM said in Jan that he does need to strengthen with another striker, transfer window has gone and the loan window closes in a few days and no sign of any additon to the attack...In my opinion the lack of striking options will again having falling at the final hurdle.

I am no manager but surely the bench should consist of the following

GK
Defender
Midfielder
Striker
and a versatile type player

But yet he is refusing to have a striking option on the bench...there has to be more than meets the eye in his relationship with Earnie.

We need fresh legs as the squad is running on empty!

Totally agree. We did not make those additions when we needed to in Jan and its cost us. There appears to be a reason why Earnie is being constantly overlooked but we definitely need the extra striker on the bench to bring on if need be. For e.g. the other night when Brighton brought Vokes on. Some people argue that midfielders can come come off the bench to score goals. Look at the midfielders on the bench and you could not see many goals being scored. We need the experience /strike rate of Earnie or another new striker available to score the goals. Cowie last scored in October and Gunnarsson 2 months ago. Whitts gets his fair share but since Miller has been on a lean run we have not scored a lot. Thankfully Mason has got a few.

He said in press conference he's trying and he ll keep trying till deadline,he made few phonecalls this week to managers but the ones he wants are close to first team and they won't let them go yet.if teams don't want to loan players out what can u do.

Funny how fickle you all are really
you all wanted to sell Earnie in January or put him out on loan
a couple of disappointing results and your'e all screaming his name
'In Malky We Trust' has been the key quote this year
now people are questioning his credentials.
grow up
get real
let the manager do his job

IN MALKY I DON'T TRUST. WE ARE ALL BEING LED UP THE GARDEN PATH,AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ON HERE ARE TOO FICKLE TO KNOW IT.I DEMAND PROMOTION,YEARS OF HELL WATCHING CCFC STRUGGLE,YEARS OF DISAPPOINTMENT OF MISSING OUT ON PROMOTION.IF SAM HAMMAM WAS AT THE HELM,HE WOULD'VE HAD PLAYERS IN NOW TO PUSH FOR PROMOTION,OK WE WOULD'VE GOT IN TO DEBT,BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO SPECULATE TO ACCUMULATE.

What an immature comment telling people to grow up just because they are airing their opinion. Let me ask you this, are you happy with our form and position at the moment considering we were one win away from going top. There are no excuses, our main strikers is not on form and yet MM refuses to play a prolific scorer at this level. Don't get me wrong MM has done a great job since taking charge but I hope his stubbornness doesn't come back to haunt us.

Everyone is allowed their opinions and should not be sniped at because someone does not like it.

Even us at Pompey have just got a striker in on loan from Derby ,bloke called Maguire. You need strength and depth in your squad now before its to late. Good luck.

Vuckic has played up front several times in his career so i think that he is our option of the bench to come on up front :ayatollah:

Good luck to you with that one. Scored a couple for Aberdeen but not as good as he thinks, yet.

We've got our versatile sub, Darcy Blake. There is no excuse/reason for not including Earnie on the bench. Reading between the lines, something's gone on behind the scene between Earnie and Malky. Further more...Somebody explain conway's shun???! In malky we trust. Ha

thats my opinion
its not sniping
is the fact that someone has a different opinion so the reply must be sniping
or is it the fact that you disagree with what ive said so you want to dismiss it as sniping
