Blackpool Struggle To Pay Hotel Bill

by credit card when they turned up at the Marriot Hotel they intended to use for todays game at Peterborough. Payment on two company credit cards were refused before a suitable arrangement was put in place to cover the cost.

Unbelieveable for a club receiving £18m this year in Premier League parachute payments. Is this the first indication of another club in trouble.

They made almost £21m in profit last year.
Not sure how much of this was spent doing their ground up, but I'd be very surprised if they really were in trouble.

Lots of reasons for having problems with credit cards. I bet its happened to most of us at some point.

When Blackpool published their accounts recently they showed an £11m payment paid to a company owned by Owen Oyston Snr.

It appearsthat the Owner took this money from the profits of their season in the PL, and the Blackpool supporters are well unhappy about it.

I'm not sure that this isn't a sign of issues starting at the club as I couldn't believe an owner could be so stupid as to be seen getting his money out that quickly.

I could.

He's one dodgy character.

Makes Sam and the riddler look positively naiive.

If they have to sell off their best players in the summer then its good news for us i guess. don't dislike them, but they are punching above their weight - thanks to us !
