I am ready for it.
In my opinon Malky is playing a dangerous game,it seems we have a lot of tired bodies out there and with other players at his disposal he has refused to include them, players such as Quinn,Naylor,Earnshaw amongst others, football is a squad game,if Malky knew he was not going to use these players he should have moved them on,the club announced 70 million debt so the players who are getting paid a good whack of this and not playing should be shipped out and players brought in who can help the club.I believe Malky's stubborn behavior towards Earnie and others will cost us.I know I will get trounced on this but it is my opinion and I care.

Yes, it is a good post and there's no way you shoudl get slated for what you've put there - and there's a large part of me that agrees with it.
On the other hand, I'm also tempted to say let's trust Malky and he'll end up doing what's best for us.
Tricky one at the moment, but if we have another few weeks of the same kind of form we've shown recently, I'll agree entirely

Good post.
I'm suprised I didn't get shot down when I said MM was starting to get as stubborn as DJ when it comes to picking favourites

Yes Dazzy, there is a lot of money wasted there, I think you will find that Malky is shipping all those players out this Summer.
Sat Mar 10, 2012 8:40 am
That's £50k a week we are blowing right there!!
Imagine 2 or 3 players we could have got in with that kind of cash!!!
So that's £2.5million right? A year that we have pretty much wasted?

Annis,if this is true then it conflicts with Malky's video where he states that the only reason Earnie is not playing is because Joe Mason is on form. I am not convinced by Malky's statement because although Joe has been playing well, he has had a few games where he has played not so well yet earnie has still not been given a chance.
I agree that if Malky is not using these players then at least put them out of their misery and get some new ones so they can actually play a part in the squad in order that others can be rested.

I wasnt convinced with Malky's statement regarding Earnie either, as your right Mason has been good this season, but not every game, I honestly believe its personal with Malky and Earnie, but Malky cant go public with that. Its been 5 months since Malky started Earnie in a league game and Earnie hardly ever even makes the bench, £13,000 a week.

It would appear that without new players, we are stuck in a situation where Malky (for whatever reason) is not prepared to rotate his squad and unless we get some new additions soon, we risk having to play the same players week in week out till the end of the season.
I cannot see us putting together a decent string of results unless this situation changes so my only hope is that we can hang on in there and somehow make the playoffs.

MM must believe that the potential of injury or diminished output through fatigue is less of a risk than playing than the named players. Although i thought Quinn was the most improved player last season.
You can't ship out league 1 and 2 players who are earning championship wages, they don't want to go.
Earnie is on a two year deal I believe, this issue may not go away through the summer.
For MM's and the fans sanity he needs to show the world if Earnie can still play.Although in all likelihood earnie will score but we lose 3-1

As we know most of these players are a DJ import. It is obvious MM does not consider them part of his long term plan. I expect most of them to be shipped out this summer.
Excluding Miller and Gestede the imports from MM has been good. Lets hope for more of the same when we can replace this dead wood.

I expect all those players to leave in the summer,,,plus no DJ salary to pay after May???
That free's up a lot of wage cost's for new players next season.

The other problem is moving these guys on. Who is going to take a wage drop like that? I know I wouldn't. To be honest, the only people to blame for that is the previous regime who offered these silly contracts in the first place. Malky inherited them, his hands are tied. To let them go would still see them being paid up their contract so the club wouldn't be any better off. Players shouldn't be tired at this point of the season, I'd have serious worries if they were. Going into March with 8 games, then yeah I can see why they will get tired if playing 90 minutes 8 times in 28 days, but tiredness is only an excuse that comes out when a team is losing - you never hear it when they are winning and playing so often.

How many of these players did Malky bring in?
Do these players want to take a drop in wages and move elsewhere where they will receive a lot less?
Most of them brought in under DJ who seemed willing to pay hyper-wages to any and all.

Very rare will you see a tired team win IMO
