SIR ALEX FERGUSON

Fri Mar 09, 2012 6:52 pm

Man Utd are having work done at their training ground and whilst the work is being done they have hired a temporary building from the company i work for, the players use it and so does the management.

Last week and this week our electrical sub contractors have being working at Carrington and they were surprised to learn that Sir Alex only goes in on a Friday and it is the coaching staff that work with the players on a daily basis.

So I guess it's not only Dave Jones who manages with this style.

On a side note, none of our guys are allowed to take mobile phones into Carrington except our Contract Manager who is a Leeds fan, his ringtone is "Marching on together"

If DJ had 1% of Sir Alex's success, I would of accepted him at the golf course 7 days a week and he could play with his balls in his pockets 24/7.

Perhaps it will take Malkay 4 years. I personally wouldn't mind waiting 4 years for promotion , aslong as we don't spend alot of money doing it. These days you've gotta be careful. (Tad bit off topic I know) :ayatollah:

Interesting that Elliott.

Seriously if Malky is still here in 4 years time would you really be behind him fully if he had not achieved promotion in that time.

Well, I'm undecided as we can't predict the future BUT. I'd rather see Malky, build up the squad and develop the youngsters (loaning them, playing them etc) before promotion. Why? So if we do get to the promised land, we would then have a decent squad with a great chance of survival. Then IF we get there and IF we survived, we could then play the youngsters and then build on from there for Europe etc.

But at this stage, it's all IF's and BUT's.

Hypothetical but interesting to see if City fans will be patient, as history tells me many fans are not that patient.

I think that's just the fustration of constantly spending x amount of pounds each season for disappointment.

Well for me, aslong as City are still around I don't care. Look at Rangers? They've spent more than us each season, for a poxy league and to get knocked out of Europe each season and are now staring liquidation in the face. :ayatollah:

Listened to report on Martin Oneil today , he only comes once a week to training but mentors each player - leaves training to his coaches

The very thought of Ferguson will send shivers down the spine on most players, including Roy keane.

Dave Jones was just a c**t down here

I believe Craig Brown is rarely involved with traing at Aberdeen until the day before a match too.
