Apparently 4 billion people will be watching the opening ceremony for London 2012.I won't be one of them.If I wanted to watch 500 people walk around in tracksuits,I'd go and spend the day in Lidl.

Costing Britain 9.3 billion pounds but, don't worry, we're slashing 20 billion pounds from the NHS budget over the next few years, so that'll make up for it. Great stuff.

The Olympics, a nasty combination of armchair nationalism and growth hormones. Total farce.

The economy. Think about it, there will probaly be alot of foreigners coming to Britain to watch the games. Therefore, they will spend THEIR money in to local businesses etc, which means people from outside of the UK will bring in their money this economy.

However, with out a shadow of a doubt it will all go to the City of London.

Is money really the point though??!! If it were, then lets get rid of football, rugby, cricket, tennis etc.......as they're hardly successful businesses!

Nah, you think about it.

Think about all the foreign companies who will benefit from it.

If you can prove that we (the British taxpayer) will get that 9.3 billion pounds (or more) back, then I'll be happy. We won't and we probably can't.

It is at the moment, in my opinion. I'm sure people will die in this country due to lack of funds in the NHS. Tell that to their families, if you like.
