While we can laud a well won point last night, recent stats are starting to stack up against us. last 18 games we have won 5 drawn 5 and lost 8. now, I'm generally not a sniper, moaner or formidable poster but still have strong views after following the Bluebirds since the early 70s.
As usual our achilles heel seems to be the inabiity to hold onto a lead. what are other members opinions on the flexibity we currenly have, i am concerned that in the 5 games ive seen this season (live in turnip land) we still look flaky running into the business end of games and again this season is proving little different.
Would we like to see more attacking options, YES, more width, YES and an ability to think on our feet?
Watford forum stated that whilst MM had indeed on the whole been very good for them, he would rarely change his starting formations and use the bench, and we are seeing this now at City. As others say why not use the so called fringe players, Earnie for one who at this level has scored goals for fun given reasonable game time. Others too are strong performers at this level. notably Quinn, Blake and Keenan. The bench can prove to be a very strong ace in the pack, just like when Poyet went f**k this when they went a goal down and came straight back at us.I still believe that play offs is possible, but would welcome some old forgotten faces to freshen us up and get us back to where we deserve to be.
