This places us in the company of clubs like Watford (last season under Malkay Mackay), Coventry, Charlton, Crewe, Rotherham, Colchester and Luton who have all held this position.
It is also a fact that no club who finishes the season with the record of dropping most points from a winning position has ever won promotion. In fact in 60% of the cases the clubs were relegated.
With 12 games remaining 7 of which are at home we will still make the playoffs IF we win all 7 of our home games, but given our failure to consistently hold on to a winning lead that is looking less likely. Of our away games two are clearly winnable for any team who aspire to the playoffs, The Wurzels on Saturday and Barnsley but who has confidence we will.
Last night our plan looked to park the bus and wait our moments and thanks to Mason and Whitts we scored with 2 of only 3 attempts on target. Kenny Miller had a last gasp chance to win it but ground staff collected the ball from the car park after the game, which sort of puts things into perspective as our No1 forward can't hit a barn door at the moment.
I'll probably get a hammering for posting this but the stats quoted here are accurate we are simply PANTS at defending a lead and that with 12 games to go is a big concern to me.

good post but the main factor here is what you mention in your post (parking the bus) we CAMP on are 18 yard line soon as we score it happens in every game , then smash the ball up field to play hoofball only for it to come back with them in posession while we sit back and hope the other team do not score after waves on end of attacks comming at us. They always score at some point as your post states so why are they not told to move up the pitch. I would get it if its the odd game but its f*cking EVERY GAME the same thing over and over![]()
