Are we doomed?!

Thu Mar 08, 2012 8:59 am

First of all i want to say, no i wasn't happy with conceding a last minute goal last night. no i wasn't happy with surrendering a lead twice again last night. Yes i do think malky should rest a few players and i do think mcnaughton is looking out of his depth.
Do these things make me question malky as our manager? Do i expect perfection from a young manager learning his trade?
The answer to both these questions is NO!

I'm not gonna speak again about what malky had at his disposal when he took over, but i am gonna say that his aim this year was to make us competitive and he has certainly done that.
He said it would take 3 transfer windows to stamp his authority on the team!
I believe he had a 3 year plan to get us to the premier league (we are in year 1)

We are touching the play offs and we have brought in players whose stock is on the rise contrary to recent seasons where we have had players whose careers were on the wane!

Is it too much to ask for some of you to just support your club this year and see where it takes us?
We're cardiff city and believe it or not THESE ARE THE GOOD TIMES!
I honestly heard less whinging when we were in the dungeon years!

It's easy to get behind your team when we're winning all the time. How's about digging deep as fans and keep supporting through thick and thin!
I hear a lot on here about plastic scousers but to be fair to them (apart from roy hodgson) they get behind their team and manager no matter what!

No were not doomed, we have a bright future. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But one win in our last 7 league games is not good enough, Bristol here we come. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Spot on mate, I think we are getting too far ahead of ourselves at times, but I do understand the disappointment. However if there is a plan in place then there is no point in moving away from that for a short term gain. If in the long run it doesn't work out then so be it. However when things aren't going our way I do believe the criticism can be shockingly well over the top. We all know that people are on a downer when things aren't going our way, but this is a competitive league and we won't always get it our own way.

Leciester are prime examples of money not always being the answer. Premier League West Ham have hardly stood out. We are a competitive side but maybe we have to be a bit more realistic at times. Like everyone else I would have liked to see us kick on and add to the squad in January but for various reasons it hasn't happened but we've now pulled in two quality loan signings and we should be looking to kick on for the rest of the season.

Totally agree if some people on here were supporting leicester they would be suicidal! Southampton just had a spell where they didnt win in about 8 games yet they are still top of the league and they have come through it.
Hopefully we will be able to get out of this slump early enough to reach the play offs, but if we don't then so be it.

Completely agree with everything you said...
Malky has a plan, he doesn't just wake up every morning and think, shit, what am I going to do today, oh i'll try this and hope for the best.. I believe we are in the foundation phases of the Malky era, and if we're this good this soon, how good will we be when we're complete!!! :ayatollah: watch out Man U ;)
