Where is the width??? Where is a striker that can score??

Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:58 pm

I'm just on my way back from the Brighton game and although I'm satisfied with a point I feel it was 2 points lost in the end. As I put in the title of this thread, I feel that we have no width which is a bit sad considering we had Conway on the bench and for the 4th game on the trot he wasn't used. What the hell is going on there?
We were very poor in the first half and a little bit better in the 2nd half but we couldn't hold on to the lead twice, it's just not good enough I'm afraid. My 2nd point is, why is Malky not giving Earnie a run out, what's the problem there?
The point I want to make next is, I think it's time Heaton got given a run of games!
The positives out of tonights game was Liam Lawrence, I thought he was quality and passed the ball around well. He will definitly prove to be a big signing for us.
On to Bristol City on Saturday and Malky must change a few things. A must win is needed, anything else I'm sorry is just not good enough. Come on City. Come on Malky.

Steve :ayatollah: we have been saying for over 3 months that we need a striker and a winger with some pace.

Agree with ALL of your post mate...Save journey back to you and the rest of the lads :ayatollah:

Sounded like Brighton had a bench to change the game, with two WIDE men Buckley and particularly Noone sounded like they nade a big impact, then there's the other sub Vokes who scored the equaliser.
Blackpool recently brought on Phillips & Bednar to change the game, we haven't got that and we could really pay for it!

Good points Valley Lad :ayatollah: - Along with WHU who have the best squad, and the likes of Southampton and B'rum who both added players in Jan,and the last few weeks.

besides width from what i gained from radio was the lack of ability to get out of our half! holding it up in there half! miller is to small for high balls, so unless its on ground wont work, sounds silly but could do with parkin to play along miller as target man at least cause home team to drop deeper i no hes not popular but he has started games on loan so should be fitter just thought as long as we play same formation in all away games we are going to get same result as proven by dropped points from winning position! we are not going to get anyone in so why not try it better than nothing!! oh and dont mention ernie he wouldnt have done anything in game as we didnt paly is way!

Parkin is out on loan for the rest of the season. Wouldn't want him in our team though, we are trying to progress not go backwards.
