We would have pushed on with sam

Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:00 pm

Before tonight's game I wanted to put this on the board.
The fact we got a good draw against Brighton has no relevance to this topic.

I honestly think if Sam was at the helm we would have moved on with transfers and signings when it mattered.
When I mean mattered I mean when we were 3rd and had a real chance of automatic!
Why did we not strengthen in jan?
Why are we getting loan players?
Why the f**k can't anyone see that 2 or 3 tidy players in jan would of kept us in the mix??

Sam was never scared to spend or gamble!!

This is not a "I love Sam hammam thread" but it is a why won't we spend thread!!!

We could have had Brighton tonight but we didn't as we don't spend!! Why font we spend???

Why the f**k don't we spend??!

Charming person.

Yes, let's not think about money whatsoever.

Let's expect others to just spend, spend, spend.

Let's continue spending money we don't have.

F***ing clueless.

My passion And my ideas about my club are mine!

And we need to change or sink!

If we sink I will still want change

I totally agree,if CCFC wanted ambition, they would've strengthened in january. Bring back Sam,he knows you have to speculate to accumulate.

LMFAO.

So you agreed with the wages he offered? Wasn't it 500k for Gavin f***ing Gordon?

Whilst you keep wanking over the greatness we'd have achieved under Sam - ignoring going into admin or worse - some of us live in the real world.

Re: We would have pushed on with sam

Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:31 pm

With Sam at the helm we'd have been in Administration and back in League one or two.

I really find it baffling that people continually seem to think we have endless pots of money that we can spunk up the wall when we don't win a few games. Countless teams have been promoted over years that have lived well within their means and didn't chuck it at any big time charlie looking for a pay day.

Football at the moment is in a serious position of being totally fucked in a few years and after the past few seasons financial results and with banks being more careful with their money and reigning in on debt (take a look at the high street and Liverpools position last year) it won't be long before a top side goes into liquidation.

So would you rather a club or perhaps one season of shitting money on players that really couldn't care less about the club. Last season was a prime example of that.

We have a lot to thank Sam for, he started us believing we can be a great team. But you also have to remember for all the good he done he almost killed the club.

No one is wanking over anyone mate. What I would be happy with is a spend or two!! As we all spend in return!! Sam spent like f**k when it mattered so let's have a bit of hush!!

Remind us whose money Sam spent. When it mattered? Ah yes.

Remind us how much other teams spent getting from Div 2 to the Championship. As much as we did, hmm?

But it's ok. Just keep on spending, despite year after year showing that's not been working. Le's keep our debts mounting upwards.

The irony being people wanting that can't f*cking see the glaringly obvious, namely that spending wildly in the hope we get to the Prem where everything will magically then be fantastic financially as using the Ridsdale approach.

Some of us would rather the club actually be around and be in better financial state in say 5-10 years. Others wanting glory at all costs, well...

Re: We would have pushed on with sam

i have to agree, if we had sam at the helm we would of gone on with our transfers.
we would of brought in around £5m worth of players

which would of meant us oweing langstone around £40m

SAM HAMMAM CAN GO F*CK HIMSELF IN MY OPINION

WE HAVE HAD SOO MUCH FINANCIAL DISASTER SINCE HE CAME.

YES HE STARTED A DREAM, BUT WE COULD OF BEEN IN THE EXACT SAME SITUATION NOW WITHOUT THE DEBT HAD WE DID IT THE HARDER WAY.

We would have pushed on with sam - with what money?
Is there a reason why the Malaysians are being sensible and trying to stabalise our club?
Sam was never scared to gamble you say? - the word gamble sums it up for me. He gambled in the past now we are rebuilding

I fail to see what the Malaysians have done wrong :ayatollah:
Im not a Sam hater, Im not a Sam lover.
18months back I would have been happy to see sam back as we were stail, lifeless etc.
Now the atmospehre has picked up, Malky is passionate, fans seem to have the passion back, we are stable and long may that continue :ayatollah:
