id love to see earnie somewhere in the matchday squad. but cant see it happening. if we had 7 subs maybe yes.

rudy was played through 2 or times on sunday and didnt get a shot away as the defender caught up or dispossessed him of the ball.

im sure earnie would have been a bit quicker than rudy and got a shot away on a couple of occasions.

I dont think he will play vuckic up top, but newcastle fans have said he can play there, so with Rudy out it may give us an outlet, and if mason gets close to him it may work.
I would also like to see conway in the side, but with Cowie's work rate and us being away from home he got the nod.

i agree with you on conway, would like to see him play. vukic upfront is interesting.

I Think Cowie needs a rest! he started the season off in fire scoring like 6 goals from the start of the season to october and hasnt scored since and has looked a bit flat.. give him a couple of games rest as he is a crucial player.

Im not a fan of a keeper on the bench when its five subs, it then effectivly becomes four subs. Once a year your keeper may go off injured. If it happens tough shit, anyone can catch a football, 10 other would have to work a bit harder for the rest of that game

Contradicts what I said before about Witts and Gunnar being to deep but for this game its what id play. Would go different against Bristol though.

If we are level - Earnie for Miller when tired, Cowie on for Vukic
If we are up - Blake for Vukic and play as a SW in 5-4-1, tired faces are changed.
