Could he have done it????

I know it's a hypothetical question but do you think that Malky could have got us promoted with the players we had last year?

He would have done better than DJ, lets put it this way. He would have made sure there was no drinking before games. No lazing about, half heartedly complaining about little things etc..
IMO if Jay and Chops played together under him they would have been outstanding last year.

Malky has never really managed players with egos so we have no idea whether he can kick them into shape or whether he'd find they'd completely ruin the dressing room.

That's my point Aramore, I love what Malky is doing with the whole set up at the City but do you think he is "man enough" to deal with the rogues in football? and more to the point is that why we have not gone into the market to buy some of these more risky but talented individuals???

I agree, I think last seasons squad was massively overrated and in some ways I think we might have overachieved.

Apart from our Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chops, Burke and Ramsey for a month the rest of the team was average championship fare.

I think he would have had the place buzzing with his positive vibes.

Look how he got the players up for the cup final for example. One truly big game where we did not choke. Boro home last season would have been a walk in the park in my opinion.

Don't want to knock DJ because whats done is done but he was an emotional drain to listen to. How the feck can he motivate people with his dull and dire attitute to our club and us fans.

Proberly, but malky wouldn,t have signed half of them wasters we had last season if it was up to him, they are not his type of player, ie lazy, no commitment, drunks, chokers, bottlers etc!!!!

The bench wouldn't have been big enough for all the players he would have wanted to bench.
