So why if we already have a small squad does the manager like working with even smaller numbers because he never wants to involve players like Earnie, Parkin, Quinn etc.
Granted they may now be the best players we got but fit players are better than players who are tired surely..? If not then make them fee agents and get rid of the cost

your right he is definitely better than rudy at least he has a bit of know how when it comes to getting in the right position whilst rudy runs around looking lost also he is useless with the ball at his feet, his only redeeming good point is he occasionally wins some good knock ons which mr parkin is more than capable of doing.
As for people who say he is still young he is 24 if he can't at least play with the ball at his feet now he never will.
However I would much rather see Ernie get a chance than either of them.

Parkin is staying at Scunthorpe for the rest of the season which in my opinion is good news for everyone.
We need a striker and a big centre forward type who can play at Championship level. Marco Futaks at Portsmouth will do for me 6' 5', built like a brick outhouse , only 22 but operating well at this level.
Given Portsmouths problems it would probably only take one call to get him. Luke Varney is down there as well so the players are around.

Futaks is a right handful at this level,would love him with us.Doesn't luke varney play in midfield,i dont know much about him other than he scored a few for blackpool when he was with them(if thats the same player i'm thinkin of)
