Bothroyd and Burke

Went to the game today and don't want to sound pessimistic here, but someone said to me we're lacking a 'game-changing winger' and a target man and asked if we still had Chris Burke and Bothroyd do I think we'd be automatic contenders, what do you guys reckon?

Interesting, how do you know they went to the game, and why, any special reason ?

No no, I went to the game today and was disappointed, just saying that's not the reason I've created this thread

Burke more than anything would be great in this team, hopefully Lawrence will be a great addition

I read it as Jay and burke went to the game...... I would love Jay and Burke back in all honesty. Burke would fit the MM ethos, not too sure on Jay, but what an upgrade to Rudy.

Burke wanted 25k and he isn't worth it.
Jay wanted to move so has.

I'd like both back but on a reasonable wage, it won't happen though.

Burke is not what we need. His finish and end product was woefull. Chicken and head cut off springs to mind. Effort was second to none!

To me it's these two areas in which is our downfall, no creative wing play & no big targetman, Burke & Bothroyd (with all their flaws of last season) are certainly missed this season.I'd replace them for Cowie & Gestede any day.

I don't think having burke and bothroyd in the team would change a thing.. personally.
I personally thought bothroyd was over-rated..
Burke is doing well where he is ... Bothroyd not so well..
We've moved on so have they.

I would have Jay back in a flash, as for Burke,he did not do enough defensivly and was woeful in front of goal I would rather Conway


Blake instead of of Mcnaughton, I feel he his sh@@@@@ing to many wives and is going backwards at a rate of knotts

Would take them back in a heartbeat and we would be in a much better position in this league with them both here. Bothroyd is better than any striker we have here...I would see him up front with Miller than replacing him. Burke has been Brums MOTM match on many occasions. Not even a consideration we would be in a better position imo
